Future-proof? Tested, confirmed and certified!
The new ISO 9001:2015 standard focuses much more on a process-orientated direction, which very much plays to the strengths of dynamic organisations such as Optronis. Moreover, the quality management system now also needs to be incorporated into the strategic direction of the organisation. This calls for managements to take on more responsibility.
Dr. Patrick Summ, Managing Director of Optronis, welcomes the new directions: “We’ve attached a great deal of importance to the issue of quality management and the transparency of the system for some time now and it was at our own initiative. It shows in our compliance with EMVA test standards, our strategic focus on CoaXPress transmission and our use of GenICam interfaces. Of course, there was still some work involved in implementing ISO 9001:2015. Updating the standard did however simplify the certification process, as the requirements were much closer to our working practice and organisational structure than for previous standards, for example. We now have the confirmation that our quality management is on the right track and we’ll continue to increase our efforts in that direction.”
