IVSM in Haikou 3.-7. Nov. 2025
Optronis continued to demonstrate its commitment to the future of machine vision by actively participating in the International Vision Standards Meeting (IVSM) held in Haikou, China, from November 3 to 7, 2025. A primary focus of the meeting was crucial work on the CoaXPress 3.0 specification draft, aiming to define the next generation of high-bandwidth, low-latency industrial communication.
The biannual IVSM also hosts the essential Plugfest, a rigorous, multi-vendor interoperability event where the industry’s most prominent manufacturers for cameras and frame grabbers interconnect their latest hardware. This crucial validation process utilizes a comprehensive script to verify CoaXPress compatibility. Two Optronis camera models were tested: The new CyclonePlus-14 camera, which utilizes four CoaXPress copper links at 12.5 Gbps each, and the CycloneFiber-2 camera, which transfers datas using the advanced CoaXPress-over-Fiber interface.
Optronis achieved a 100% success rate, flawlessly passing all compatibility tests with every major frame grabber company present. This technical validation solidifies Optronis’s position at the forefront of the industry’s standardization effort.
